The Deltaville Deltas swept four games in a five-day stretch, defeating three league teams on the road and taking care of a barnstorming travel team at home last Saturday night. Despite the taxing schedule, the Deltas pitching staff managed to allow just 6 runs, while the offense made life easy for the arms on the mound, averaging 10 runs per game.

With the wins Deltaville remained undefeated on the season, improving to 9-0 in league play and 11-0 overall.

The Deltas’ schedule ahead is slightly less strenuous, but remains full of challenges. The Deltas took on the 2nd place Richmond Team Woody (7-1) on Tuesday night in Richmond (results were not available at press time).

Cupcake Night
Deltaville plays host to the second game of a two-game series with the Virginia Marlins on Saturday, July 6, at Deltaville Ballpark. The 7:30 p.m. game will be Cupcake Night, sponsored by the Museums of Middlesex—fans in attendance will be treated to delicious treats during the game.
