Daily Press honors Hall

Middlesex High School freshman Melissa Hall recently was named to the first unit of the area girls cross-country team by the Daily Press newspaper.
Hall set a new MHS school record and dominated district and regional competition. She won the Tidewater District meet by 1 minute, 26 seconds and won the Region A meet by 25 seconds. Her sixth-place finish in the State Group A meet was more than a minute faster than anyone else from Region A and earned her All-State honors.
Hall and others on the all-star team were selected from the Daily Press coverage area and included Group AAA, Group AA, Group A and private school athletes.
