Colts Midgets blank Yorktown 14-0

This past Saturday in Yorktown the Middlesex Colts Midgets shut out the Yorktown Patriots 14-0.The Colts Midgets dominated the game from start to finish and have now won their last three games.

Colts head coach Fred West was proud of his total team effort. “We were dominating through the entire game. Our defense played great. Yorktown had negative offensive yards for the game. Our offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage and, as a result, we won the game,” said West.

“Now we want to end the season on a winning note and defeat Williamsburg Tuesday evening,” said West.

In the Mites game, the Colts lost to the Peninsula Youth Football and Cheerleading Organization (PYFCO) defending Super Bowl champion Patriots 34-20.The Colts played the Patriots evenly throughout the contest. However, turnovers doomed the Colts as two of the turnovers were converted into Patriot touchdowns.

In the Mighty Mites game, the Colts lost 33-6.Talon Cheatham scored the only touchdown for the Colts on a 15-yard bootleg run.

In the Juniors game, the Colts lost 28-6. The Colts’ lone touchdown occurred when Thomas Hamilton stripped the Yorktown quarterback on a sack, and Cole Radabaugh picked up the loose football and rumbled 41 yards to paydirt.

On Tuesday, October 29, the Colts completed their regular season at Williamsburg Green at Warhill.
