Last Saturday the Middlesex Colts Juniors (ages 12-14) second half rally came up short as the Back River Panthers of Poquoson handed the Colts a 25-13 defeat.

In the first half, the Colts squandered multiple scoring opportunities to fall behind 19-0.

In the second half, the Colts came stampeding back behind a dazzling 45-yard scoring run by Jared Lawson and a 2-yard scoring run by Jordan Blake. The Panthers then scored a late touchdown to complete the scoring.

In the Mites division (6-7 year olds), the Colts once again showcased their prolific offense by scoring 34 points. However, the Panthers had a bit more offense and won 46-34.

Kalob Knight scored 3 touchdowns and 2 conversions to lead the Colts. Also scoring touchdowns for the Colts were Isaiah Uriri and Xzavion Griffin. Jayden Kidd added 2 conversions to complete the Colts’ scoring.

In other action the Mighty Mites (ages 8-9) were defeated 55-0, and the Midgets were defeated 42-0.
