Christchurch Seahorses: State Lacrosse Champs
Last Saturday the Christchurch School lacrosse team traveled to Norfolk Academy where they edged Highland School of Warrenton 12-11 to win the Virginia Independent Schools State Athletic Association D-2 state championship. The Seahorses downed Hampton Roads Academy 13-6 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, and Nansemond Suffolk Academy 10-9 in the semifinals on Thursday.
Other schools in the division include Virginia Episcopal School, Blue Ridge School, Walsingham Academy, Cape Henry Collegiate, Fishburne Military, Fredericksburg Christian, Massanutten Military, Pope John Paul the Great High, Seton School and Norfolk Collegiate.
