The team placed second in the State Fleet Racing Championship and Team Racing Championship held at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club last weekend.
Earlier, during the weekend of October 18, the sailors traveled to New London, Conn., for the annual Lawrence A. White Regatta hosted at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Christchurch sailors finished first, to win the prestigious Lawrence A. White Trophy. They raced against 20 schools from 12 states and finished 88 points ahead of the second place Monsignor Donovan High School team from Toms River, N.J.
