Chargers will host Cavaliers Tuesday
by Tom Hardin
The Middlesex Chargers lost two boys varsity basketball Tidewater District road games in recent action and now stand at 2-2 in the district and 4-8 overall.
The Chargers stayed with a good Mathews team until the second half when foul trouble led to a 75-60 Blue Devils victory.
“We played hard and were right in this one,” said Middlesex coach Chris Walker.
The Chargers will host King William on Tuesday, January 22; will visit King and Queen on Friday, January 25; will host Mathews on Tuesday, January 29; and will host West Point on Friday, February 1, in their regular season finale. JV games begin at 6 p.m. and are followed by varsity games at 7:30 p.m.
