Chargers up record to 4-1 in league play
To host K&Q in doubleheader

With 33 hits in their last two games the Middlesex High School varsity baseball team is on a hitting rampage.
On Tuesday the Chargers opened an early lead and held off King William for 9-7 win in Deltaville.
Kyle Shelton had a single. double and RBI to go along with a 7-inning complete game on the mound for MHS.
Leading 9-7 with two outs in the seventh inning and Cavalier base runners on second and third base, MHS third baseman Adam White turned in a defensive gem to preserve the win. White fielded a ground ball, and instead of chancing a long throw to first base, he tagged out the Cavalier base runner trying to advance to third base for the final out.
Matt Horne had a single, double and 3 RBIs for MHS; Greg Pitts, 2 singles and 2 RBIs; Kyle Lawson, 2 singles, and RBI; Chris Blake, a single and RBI; Trey Blankenship, a double and single; and Maurice Nelson, a single.
Last week the Chargers collected 33 hits en route to a 29-1 win over Charles City.
Blake had 2 doubles, 2 singles, 3 RBIs; Lawson, triple, double, single, 4 RBIs; Nelson, triple, 2 singles, 4 RBIs; Shelton, double, single, RBI; Austin Cooper, double, single, 3 RBIs; White, 2 singles, 2 RBIs; Horne, double, single, RBI; Pitts, double, single, 2 RBIs; Phillips, double, RBI; Blankenship and Jacob Kirby, a single apiece.
Lawson pitched the first 3 innings for MHS and struck out 9.
