Chargers to begin district play

Upcoming Middlesex High School sports games are as follows:

  • On Tuesday, April 9, the MHS varsity baseball team lost 11-0 to Rappahannock. Jacob Lawson had the only MHS hit in the loss.

  • The varsity baseball team will visit West Point on Thursday, April 11, at 5 p.m. in its Tidewater District opener; will visit Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16; and will host King William at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at Deltaville Ballpark.

  • On Tuesday, April 9, the MHS JV baseball team lost 14-3 to Rappahannock. Maurice Nelson, Alex Fitchett, Mason Phillips and Vance Medina each had a single for the JV Chargers.

  • The JV baseball team will host West Point at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 11; will host Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16; and will visit King William at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Home games are at Deltaville Ballpark.

  • The MHS soccer teams will visit Washington & Lee on Monday, April 15. The JV game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m. The next home Charger soccer games are on Monday, April 29, against King William at MHS in Saluda.

  • The varsity softball team will visit West Point on Thursday, April 11, at 5 p.m. in its Tidewater District opener; will visit Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16; and will host King William at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at MHS in Saluda.

  • The JV softball team will host West Point at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 11; will host Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16; and will visit King William at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Home games are at MHS in Saluda.

  • The boys and girls track teams will compete in the King William Invitational at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 13; and will travel to Northumberland on Wednesday, April 17, for a quad-meet.

Team coaches are encouraged to report scores and highlights of their games by emailing Tom Hardin at , Tom Chillemi at , or Larry Chowning at by noon on Tuesdays.
