Chargers rout King William; Lockley to be honored
The Middlesex High boys varsity basketball team improved to 3-2 in the Tidewater District Tuesday night with a 66-51 victory over King William at MHS in Saluda.
Ryheem Lockley led the Chargers with 29 points, Brett Carter had 13, Cullen Johnson 8, T.J. Balderson 6, Bryant Gresham 5, J.D. Diggs 2, Zach Belcher 2, and Andre Campbell 1.
The Chargers will visit King and Queen on Friday, January 25; will host Mathews on Tuesday, January 29; and will host West Point on Friday, February 1, in their final game of the regular season.
Before the start of the Mathews game on Tuesday, Ryheem Lockley will be honored for recently passing the 1,500-point career scoring mark, and being the top career scorer in MHS basketball history. With a 30 points per game average this year, Lockley is on pace to break the single-season scoring record as well.
