Chargers down Pointers, Carver; to host Mathews Friday night

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity basketball team had two wins in recent action, edging West Point 52-49 on Monday, January 22, and downing Carver Academy 62-47 on Friday, January 19. MHS lost to King William 55-50 on Tuesday, January 16. 

“This (West Point game) was a very exciting game the whole way through,” said MHS head coach Aaron Dodge. “We knew going into it if we were able to control the ball we would control the game and we were able to do that.

“We struggled from the free throw line where we had plenty of opportunities but little success. I was proud of how hard the guys played in front of a big crowd,” he said.
