The Middlesex High School boys varsity basketball team is hot as it finishes up regular season play with three wins in recent action, defeating Windsor 85-43, Charles City 73-55, and West Point 72-71.

Against Windsor, the Chargers picked up their offense and defense in the second half outscoring Windsor 47-14 over the last 16 minutes. At the end of the first half the score was 37-29 in favor of the Chargers.

“We started off slow, missing a lot of layups and free throws, but after we were able to overcome our early mistakes we were able to get things rolling in the second half,” said Middlesex head coach Aaron Dodge. “It was nice to see so many of our players contribute in a positive way to help us get the victory.”

In the final regular season game on February 1, the Chargers won a thriller at West Point, 72-71.
