CCS wins on the road; falls to Northumberland

The Christchurch School Fighting Seahorses earned their first victory of the season, defeating the Seahawks of Atlantic Shores Christian School 12-6 this past Friday night.

CCS improved to 1-1 and the Seahawks sit at 2-3 on the season.

Christchurch lost their traditional season opener with The Covenant School when the Eagles moved to eight-man football. Hurricane Florence then caused CCS to cancel the Randolph Macon Academy game following the season opening loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.

This Saturday, September 29, CCS will host Northumberland High School at 1 p.m. in its home opener. The game is free and open to the public.

The Seahorses lost a home game on Saturday to Northumberland High School, 47-9. They play Fredericksburg Christian School at home on Saturday, October 13, at 1 p.m.
