The Middlesex High School boys track team finished sixth overall as a team in the Gloucester High School Invitational Track meet Saturday with 44 points.

Colonial Forge High School won the team competition with 125 points. Middlesex was the top Group A school at the meet. Lancaster High School finished 10th overall with 34 points and Mathews was 15th with 9.25 points.

“It was a great meet for our teams in preparation for district, region, and state,” said MHS head boys coach Joel Anderson. “I am very excited about both the girls and boys teams.

“Coach (Michael) Pierce (girls coach) and myself don’t look at this as a boys and girls team but as Middlesex track and field,” said Coach Anderson. “And so far they are all doing very well with plenty of room for improvement.”

The Chargers were paced by Raquan Marshal who won the triple jump (43’1”) and finished second in long jump (21’10”)—scoring 18 points of Middlesex’s 44 points.
