The Middlesex High Lady Chargers ended their regular season with a 66-27 victory over the Lady Panthers of Charles City last week. The win gave MHS an overall record of 10-9 and Tidewater District mark of 7-3.

The game was never in doubt as the Lady Chargers took a 10-point first quarter lead and never looked back.

The MHS girls travel to Sussex Central at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 16, to begin Region 1A tournament play. “This is the chance to put our best foot forward and show our Charger pride,” said Lady Charger coach Neil Wake.

For Middlesex against Charles City, Lyndsay Greene had 16 points, Emilie Smith 11, Ariana Beverley 9, Sarah Walton 7, Amber Self 7, Lane Anderson 6, Taniaya Dandridge 4, Danielle Jones 4 and Taylor Witcher 2.
