White Wins 4th at AQHA World Championship Show
Dana Lynn White of Columbia in Goochland County earned 4th place in Amateur Breakaway Roping at the 2016 American Quarter Horse World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, OK. White showed her American Quarter Horse, Dash N Model.

Middlesex High varsity softball coach Dave Gabeler said he’s “feeling optimistic” about this year’s Lady Chargers even though the team only has four returning starters. “We will have to replace five seniors who all produced for us last year,” said Gabeler.

The Middlesex Family YMCA has welcomed new program and facility operations director Joe Hickey. “Ranger Joe,” as he is known to local youth, joined the YMCA team on March 15. Coming to the Y from the Boy Scouts of America as the Ranger at the Bayport Scout Reservation, Hickey brings deep experience to the YMCA.

It’s March Madness in the Middlesex Youth Basketball League (MYBL) for a 40th straight year. All three postseason tournament championship games will be played this Saturday, March 18, in the John S. Clements Memorial Gym at Middlesex High School in Saluda.
