MHS JVs race past Devils in final inning
“Thanks go out for a great effort by the girls this season,” said Coach Traynham. “The support of parents, fans, administration and the Southside Sentinel for its coverage is appreciated. Lady Chargers cruise to Conference 42 track title
The Middlesex High School girls track team scored 123 points and ran away with the Conference 42 championship on Thursday, May 18, at Charles City. Mathews finished second as a team with 109.5; Cumberland, third, 106 points; West Point, fourth, 98.5; Central Lunenburg, fifth, 38 points; Charles City, sixth, 10; and King and Queen, seventh, 6.


MHS tennis team wins region tourney opener
The Middlesex High School girls tennis team defeated the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School (ARGS) 5-4 in 1A East Region quarterfinal action on Tuesday, May 23, at the YMCA courts in Franklin.


Colts plan two registration times
The Middlesex Youth Football Colts for boys and girls ages 6-14 will hold additional signups on June 3 and June 17 at the Middlesex County Sports Complex in Locust Hill. The signups will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
