MHS girls sweep Drifters
The Middlesex High School Lady Chargers varsity volleyball team split a pair of non-Conference 42 matches in recent action, losing to Northumberland (NHS) and defeating Colonial Beach. The Lady Chargers are looking forward to another competitive week.

New era in MHS sports begins on winning note
imageThe Middlesex High School (MHS) Chargers football team won their opening game at the new Syd Thrift Athletic Complex at MHS in Saluda Friday night, 21-14 over archrival Mathews. The night was abuzz with excitement as 1,200 people came out to see the historic first game played on the new Charger football field.


Lady Chargers capture two volleyball matches
In the Lancaster Tournament on September 6, Middlesex played three competitive games but lost 25-16, 25-12, and 25-22. The girls were at Northumberland on Tuesday, September 9, and will host Colonial Beach on, Thursday, September 11.


Charger golfers down Mathews
On September 4, the Chargers traveled to Quinton Oaks in Callao to take on Rappahannock and Lancaster in what would prove to be an “uncontested” event due to inclement weather. The Chargers are at King William on Tuesday, September 16; and play King William at PRGC on Thursday, September 18, at 4 p.m. in their regular season finale.
