Boating safety course offered
The Northern Neck Sail & Power Squadron will offer the Virginia Safe Boating Course at Rappahannock Community College Kilmarnock Center, 447 Main Street, Kilmarnock. The class will be conducted in two Saturday sessions, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., April 22 and 29, reported squadron education officer Anthony Russo.

RE Strong 5K and 10K top runners listed
imageResults for the RE Strong Runs held April 8 at Hewick Plantation in Urbanna are listed below. The top three winners among female and male runners in the 10K and the 5K races, and the best time “overall” for each age group are listed by name, age, residence and time.


MHS varsity is staying competitive; team support leads to storybook win
"Coach John Koontz has done an excellent job coming into the program and started working with the JV team with a focus on passing, touch, and possession,” said varsity coach Clark Laster. 


JV Charger booters hit the win column twice
imageThe Middlesex JV co-ed soccer team is young, with only five ninth graders. However, after starting the season 0-2 with losses at perennial powerhouses Rappahannock and King William, the JV Chargers turned their season around with two wins recently.
