Lady Chargers place 2nd in tournament
An aggressive Group AA James Monroe team started quick in the title game and Middlesex was not ready, said MHS coach William Griffin. “Their guards were too fast for us,” he said. “We were in awe of them. We missed some open opportunities, we were flat, and they were going after everything.”

Essex nips MHS JVs

CCS hosts Stone Memorial Tourney this weekend
The Christchurch School basketball team will host the John Stone Memorial Tournament on Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13. Games are at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Competing teams include Christchurch, Gar-Field, Paul VI, and Trinity Christian of North Carolina.


Lady Chargers win 56-54 over Northumberland
imageBehind a full-court press, the Lady Chargers bolted to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter and built a 41-25 lead by halftime. “Every girl was aggressive on the press and hustling,” said Middlesex head coach William Griffin. “I played every girl in the first half.”
