Middlesex tennis team to host West Point Tuesday
Mathews defeated the Middlesex tennis team 9-0 on April 20. MHS held a makeup match against Caroline High School on April 27 and traveled to play Essex on Thursday, April 30. MHS will host West Point on Tuesday, May 5, at 4 p.m.

Lady Chargers up record to 5-2
The Middlesex High varsity softball team won at West Point 12-2 on April 16 to open Conference 42 play. The game was closer than the score indicated. The Lady Chargers (1-0, 5-2) held a 4-1 lead until the sixth inning when they added 2 runs.


MHS wins first two district baseball games
The Middlesex High varsity baseball team captured two Conference 42 wins in recent action, downing West Point, 7-1 on April 16 and defeating Charles City 7-2 on April 21. Against West Point, MHS starting pitcher Alex Fitchett went the distance, struck out 9, scattered 7 hits and walked 2.


Charger trackmen finish 2nd in Invitational
imageThe Middlesex High School (MHS) boys track team finished second overall in the Bob Murray Invitational track meet Saturday at King William High School. Two MHS runners, Ridge Ellis and Sean Johnson, qualified for the state meet with their performances.
