MHS girls sweep Windsor; to play for regional crown
imageThe Middlesex High volleyball team qualified for the state tournament with a win at Windsor on Monday. The Lady Chargers swept Windsor, the Tri Rivers District champion and top seed, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-15 in the Region A, Division 2 semifinals.

Lady Chargers are Region A runner-up
imageThe Middlesex High School girls cross-country team finished second in the Region A meet on November 4 and qualified as a team to run in the State Group A meet this Saturday, November 13, at Great Meadows in Warrenton.


Seahorses play St. Anne’s in state semifinals Friday
Christchurch School will battle top-seeded St. Anne’s Belfield at 7 p.m. this Friday, November 12, in Charlottesville in the semifinals of the State VISAA Division II football playoffs. This is the first trip to the state playoffs for the 4th-seeded Seahorses (7-2) since 2006.


Lockley leads Chargers to first win
The Middlesex High School varsity football team won its first game of the season last Thursday with a 34-28 homecoming win over King and Queen at MHS in Saluda. The Royal Tigers led 8-7 in the first quarter, but two first half interceptions by the Chargers that set up touchdown drives were the difference in the game.
