CCS hosts Stone Memorial Tourney this weekend
The Christchurch School basketball team will host the John Stone Memorial Tournament on Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13. Games are at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Competing teams include Christchurch, Gar-Field, Paul VI, and Trinity Christian of North Carolina.

Lady Chargers win 56-54 over Northumberland
imageBehind a full-court press, the Lady Chargers bolted to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter and built a 41-25 lead by halftime. “Every girl was aggressive on the press and hustling,” said Middlesex head coach William Griffin. “I played every girl in the first half.”


Middlesex cagers to host Essex Monday

MHS wrestlers down Indians; Wines ties record
imageThe Middlesex High School wrestling team split its first meet of the season Monday by defeating Northumberland 57-15, and losing 48-36 to King William. Against the Cavaliers, Cameron Wines won the 119-pound division with a pin in 3:25.
