Relay For Life returns to Middlesex July 24
The new Relay For Life of Middlesex is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, at Grey’s Point Campground in Topping. The event was previously scheduled for May 15 at Middlesex High School. The event’s organizers changed the date to allow Relay teams and volunteers additional time to raise funds and build the volunteer planning committee.

Seahorses fall in quarterfinals
imageThe Christchurch School baseball team lost 5-3 to Steward School in the quarterfinals of the VISAA Division II State Playoffs on Tuesday. Nick Przybyl hit a 2-run home run in the game for CCS (9-9). In regular season play, the Seahorses posted wins over Collegiate, Woodberry Forest, Norfolk Academy, Trinity and Fork Union.


Chargers up district mark to 6-0; home finale Friday
imageThe Middlesex varsity baseball team is undefeated in Tidewater District play going into the final 8 days of the regular season. On Tuesday, the Chargers thumped King William 12-2 for a district win. They are now 6-0 in the district and 9-5 overall.


First woman inducted into CCS Hall of Fame
imageThe annual Christchurch School Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was a highlight of the school’s recent Alumni Weekend celebration. Edward W. “Pushie” Cather ’54 and Claudia M. “Marcie” Soucek ’00 were welcomed into the hall of fame by Christchurch School athletic director Ben Thompson.
