MHS goes after district track title on May 20
The Middlesex High School boys track team easily defeated Tidewater District foes King William and West Point on May 5. The Chargers tallied 74 points compared to 38 for the Cavaliers and 27 for the Pointers.

imageHeath Cockerham isn't sure which part of him should be more proud. As fourth-year head coach of Middlesex Chargers varsity football team he couldn't be happier that at least five of his seniors are going to play college football next year.


Middlesex YMCA Adult Soccer under way
The Middlesex YMCA Adult Soccer League got off to a great start on May 4-5. This season the YMCA has two leagues based on ability and competition level. Games will continue every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the second week of June at the Middlesex Sports Complex. All fans are encouraged to attend.


Payne pitches a no-hitter against Mathews
imageThe Middlesex High varsity softball team handed Mathews its first Tidewater District loss season, 5-1 on Friday at MHS. Megan Payne threw a no-hitter against the Lady Blue Devils, struck out 7, and allowed just 3 walks.
