CCS volleyball: ‘Dig to Win’
imageWith three state tournament appearances in the last four years, the Seahorses seem to be stocked for another post-season run when their conference tournament begins next week. This year CCS has a 14-1 Virginia Commonwealth Conference (VCC) record and overall mark of 16-1.

Christchurch Seahorses rally past Barons
imageWith just 1:40 remaining in last Saturday’s game, Christchurch senior quarterback Taylor Byrd connected with sophomore Ashby Lewis on a 10-yard pass along the Blue Ridge sideline. Lewis managed to break free and raced the final 26 yards for the touchdown. The touchdown cut the Barons’ lead to 20-19 and the Seahorses opted to go for the 2-point conversion and the win.


Middlesex’s cross-country win streak snapped
imageMathews handed the Middlesex High School girls cross-country team its first loss of the season on October 13 at Washington & Lee. The Lady Blue Devils scored 20 points, Middlesex had 41, and Washington & Lee finished third with 66.


Lady Chargers ‘play for a cure’ tonight
The Middlesex High varsity volleyball team swept West Point 25-21, 25-18 and 25-21 for a Tidewater District road win on October 14. Despite the win, Middlesex (4-1, 12-1) had an off night.
