Fishing News
imageAugust is one of the slower months for fishing due primarily to the hot days/nights and warmer water temperatures. The fish are sluggish, as are the fishermen. In the middle Bay and rivers, we have Spanish mackerel, flounder, bluefish, cobia, puppy drum, speckled trout, gray trout, spot and croaker to name just a few. All of these fish can bring lots of activity, depending upon the tide and time of day.

After losing its first game 6-2, the Middlesex squad bounced back to win three straight before being eliminated by Grottoes 2-0. Middlesex finished an impressive fourth among 16 teams in the tournament.
