MHS Coach Griffin posts record win
William Griffin posted win number 111 late this season to become the most-winning girls basketball coach in Middlesex High School history. Former coach Andrew Hence held the previous record of 109 wins.

Lancaster boys and girls are Region A champions
imageimageLancaster High scored a dual victory Saturday night as its boys and girls basketball teams captured their respective Region A Division 2 tournament championships at LHS. By doing so, both teams earn a home berth in next weekend's State Group A, Division 2 Tournament quarterfinals.


Seahorses win 4th straight Prep League title
imageSophomore Mike Gbinije had 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and 4 steals to lead Christchurch School to a 71-68 win over St. Anne’s Belfield (STAB) in the championship game of the Virginia Prep League Tournament at Trinity Episcopal High School in Richmond last Saturday.


Lady Chargers rip Northampton
imageThe Middlesex High Lady Chargers went on the road and rolled over Northampton 59-40 on the Eastern Shore Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the Region A Division II Tournament. Fifth-seeded Middlesex will visit top-seeded Lancaster Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m.
