Rain cancels speedway action; mud bog Saturday
The night looked promising with a large field of cars in the pit area, but at 6 p.m. a huge storm blew into the area dumping a large amount of rain on the speedway, forcing officials of Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway to cancel WXGM Night activities.


Indians edge MHS 5-4 in baseball semifinals
imageThe Middlesex High baseball team’s season came to a close on June 2 when Northumberland edged the Chargers 5-4 in the semifinals of the Region A Tournament. Rappahannock captured the Region A Tournament championship with an 8-6 win over Northumberland on June 4.


Christchurch lacrosse players are All-American
Christchurch School Head Lacrosse Coach Vince Smith is pleased to announce that Collin Brooke ’10 and Justin Ashby ’10 have been named All-American by US Lacrosse, the governing body of the sport. In all, 10 All-Americans and 6 Academic All-Americans were chosen from the state of Virginia.
