MHS JVs win district title with 8-0 record
imageThe Middlesex High junior varsity baseball team finished its season last week with an 8-0 Tidewater District record and overall mark of 12-2.

MHS tennis team wins district crown
imageThe Middlesex High tennis team qualified for the Region A Tournament on May 15 when it defeated Mathews in a playoff match for the regular season championship of the Tidewater District. The Lady Blue Devils had defeated the Lady Chargers 5-3 two days earlier to force the playoff game.


Ware girls finish undefeated
imageWare completed their last week of the season with three wins, none of them bigger than their victory over Collegiate on April 29. Collegiate fields three middle school girls lacrosse teams, and put their top team on the field to face Ware in the two schools season final match-up.


Cyclists to observe ‘Ride of Silence’
Area cyclists will participate in the national Ride of Silence observance on Wednesday, May 20, to raise awareness of cycling safety and memorialize cyclists injured and killed in road accidents. May is National Bike Safety Month.
