MHS wins three straight; to visit Cavaliers Friday
imageWith victories over King and Queen, West Point and Rappahannock in recent action, the Middlesex High boys basketball team is atop the Tidewater District standings with a 4-0 record and overall mark of 9-3. The Chargers have four regular season games remaining.

Wrestling ‘Gold and Glory’ set for Feb. 26 at MHS
imageOn Saturday, February 26, the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 6th annual professional wrestling bonanza fundraiser at the Middlesex High School gym in Saluda. The superstars of NWA Fusion will present “Gold and Glory,” a night filled with heated action packed pro wrestling drama.


JV boys play final home game Tuesday
imageThe Middlesex High School junior varsity basketball team split two games in recent action, defeating West Point on Friday and losing to Rappahannock on Tuesday. The JV Chargers (3-1, 3-6) downed Tidewater District foe West Point 38-24, and lost to non-district foe Rappahannock 30-22.


Fisher, Jessup extend hot streaks
Against Caroline, Brandon Jessup and Darrien Fisher won their matches with pins. Jessup won the 130-pound division with a pin in 2:07, and Fisher won the 189-pound division with a pin in 4:01.
