Bristow no-hits Drifters
Bristow pitched all 5 innings against the Drifters, and allowed no hits, no runs and 1 walk and with 12 strikeouts. “Shane threw a great game,” said MHS coach Jonathan Norris. “The guys also made a few great defensive plays behind him to keep the no-hitter alive.”

United wins YMCA youth soccer tournament
imageIn the first tournament, Saturday April 25, hosted a total of 12 teams from Middlesex, Mathews, Northern Neck, Westmoreland, West Point and Northumberland. Of the 12 teams, Middlesex had 4 of them and turned out to be the dominate teams in the tournament.


Rally for a Cure event raises $1,500
Kelly Lowe won the closest to the pin prize, a Cleveland hybrid #3, on hole 17. Kevin Ashberry won the "Rally Basket." Tournament coordinator Karin Gorin thanked all who participated and donated.


Chargers down West Point
imageMiddlesex remained in a tie for first place in the Tidewater District Tuesday with a 9-5 varsity baseball win at West Point. Middlesex is 4-1 in the Tidewater District and 6-3 overall. “If we go undefeated the rest of the way, we can pull it (district title) out,” said MHS coach Timmy Blake.
