MHS wrestlers begin post-season competition
imageThe Middlesex High School wrestling team defeated Group AAA John Marshall of Richmond, 48-26, in a tri-meet at Caroline High School on January 25. Two Charger wrestlers—Darrien Fisher in the 170-pound class and Devante Robertson in the 132-pound class—each won all three of their matches in the tri-meet.

MHS girls visit Mathews in district showdown Thurs.
The Middlesex High varsity girls basketball team improved to 5-1 in the Tidewater District and 6-10 overall with wins over King William and King and Queen in recent action. On Thursday, February 2, the Lady Chargers play at Mathews, which handed them their only district loss this season. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

MHS boys to host King William Friday
Middlesex lost a key Tidewater District game to West Point, 47-44, last Friday at West Point. “Everything that could have gone wrong in the first half did,” said MHS coach Brody Jackson. “We missed a lot of layups on offense, weren’t aggressive like we wanted to be on defense, and got a few guys in foul trouble.”
