Bristow leads MHS past West Point, 4-1
imageSenior Shane Bristow sparkled at the plate and on the mound to lead the Middlesex High varsity baseball team to a 4-1 win over West Point at Deltaville Ballpark on April 5. With the Chargers clinging to a 1-0 lead, Bristow slugged a 3-run home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Seahorses continue to dominate Prep League
The Christchurch School baseball team continued its strong season by sweeping two league games from St. Anne’s Belfield School last week. The Seahorses are now 9-1 on the season and 4-0 in the Virginia Prep League.


Payne blanks West Point in district softball opener
The Middlesex High varsity softball team shut out visiting West Point 10-0 to open its Tidewater District season on April 5. MHS starting pitcher Megan Payne struck out 4 and allowed just 3 hits in the 5-inning game. The varsity Lady Chargers (1-0, 4-4) are at King William for a district game on Thursday, April 19, at 5 p.m.


MHS trackmen win tri-meet
imageThe Middlesex High boys track team defeated King William and West Point in a tri-meet on April 4 at West Point. The Chargers scored 72 points, King William was second with 55, and West Point had 35. Middlesex will participate in a tri-meet on Wednesday, April 18, against Northumberland and Essex at Essex High School.
