The Middlesex High JV volleyball team posted a stunning comeback victory over visiting Washington & Lee on September 10. The Lady Chargers swept W&L in two games, 25-20 and 28-26, which improves their season record to 2-3.

Northumberland rallied in the final minutes Friday night in Heathsville and pinned a 14-8 non-district varsity football loss on Middlesex. The Indians scored a first quarter touchdown to grab a 6-0 lead.

Playing at arch-rival Mathews Friday night, the Middlesex High Chargers opened their season with a 46-28 victory in a non-district game. Charger running backs rushed for a whopping 364 yards.
