Chargers sweep NHS; host King William thursday

Holt’s hat trick leads Chargers to first win
imageThe Middlesex High varsity soccer downed visiting Rappahannock 3-1 on April 14 for its first win of the season. The Chargers (1-3-1) were at full strength for this rematch with the Raiders. “I had a feeling going into this game that it could go our way,” said MHS coach Scott Rae.


Christchurch crew team has sizzling start
imageThe Christchurch School crew team has a strong start on the spring rowing season. At the Eastern Virginia Scholastic Association opener in March, the CCS Men’s Varsity Eight took first place in a field of nine teams.


First-day trophies
imageTurkey season opened April 10 and Adam Smith and his father Eric went on Adam's second turkey hunt of his life with a gun in Middlesex County. Adam got the first shot and a kill. He was about 40 yards away and shot the gobbler with his 410-gauge shotgun.
