Chargers host Pointers today
A strong pitching performance by Chris Chewning led the Middlesex High varsity team to a 7-3 win over Windsor Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader in Deltaville. Chewning struck out 4, walked one and allowed 2 unearned runs in 4 innings on the mound. Vale Ceballos pitched the fifth and final inning and struck out the side.

Seahorses sweep Woodberry
imageAfter two weeks of non-conference play, the Christchurch baseball team traveled to Woodberry Forest for a doubleheader to open its Virginia Prep League schedule. The Seahorses swept both games from the Tigers, 7-2 and 4-2. The team is now 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Prep League.


MHS boys and girls play in RGH title games tonight
In the semifinals of the RGH Baseball Tournament at Deltaville Ballpark on Thursday, March 29, Washington & Lee routed Mathews 10-1, and Middlesex downed Lancaster 5-2. On Friday, March 30, Mathews will play Lancaster in the third place game at 5 p.m., and Middlesex will play W&L for the championship at 7 p.m.


Hart scores in five events to lead trackmen
imageThe Middlesex High School boys track team finished second in a tri-meet last week behind first place Mathews. The Devils scored 85 points, MHS had 61, and West Point 12. “Overall the boys are doing a great job this year led by senior P.J. Hart and freshman Ridge Ellis,” said head coach Joel Anderson.
