Chargers clinch district crown
Middlesex clinched the regular season championship of the Tidewater District with a 2-1 extra-inning win over Mathews last Friday in Deltaville. The Chargers are now 7-0 in the district with one game remaining—at Mathews this Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. That game is preceded by a JV game at 5 p.m

Lockley named 1st team All-State
imageSophomore forward Ryheem Lockley of Middlesex High has been voted first team All-State Group A by the Associated Press. Lockley, the Tidewater District Player of the Year and a first team All-Region A selection, led the Chargers to the State Group A Division 2 Tournament for a second straight year in 2011.


MHS girls are 6-1 in the district
The Middlesex Lady Chargers softball team is in second place in the Tidewater District as they head for the regular season finale at Mathews on Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. Last week, the Lady Chargers lost 6-1 to Mathews (5-0), which is in first place.


Charger trackmen on a roll
The Middlesex High School boys track team defeated Lancaster and King William on May 12 at King William. The Chargers won the meet with 63 points, Lancaster had 50 and King William 38.
