Chargers battle Indians in Region A semifinals Wed.
Middlesex will host Northumberland on Wednesday, June 2, at 5 p.m. at Deltaville Ballpark and is expected to face Indians pitching ace Kyle Hall, who has signed with Longwood College, said Charger head coach Tim Blake.

MHS doubles team loses in semifinals
Amanda Blake and Stephanie Hutton of Middlesex High School lost in the semifinals of Region A doubles tennis tournament in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 1-6) to Kayla Upadhyaya and Shelby Floyd of the Appomattox Regional Governor's School (ARGS) on May 26 at the Howard Mast Tennis Complex in Suffolk.


Chargers win district title with 8-0 record
imageThe Chargers ended their regular season with an 8-0 district mark and 11-5 overall record. The last time Middlesex won the regular season championship was in 2002, but the last time the Chargers went undefeated in district play was in 1999.


Mathews edges Charger trackmen for district crown
imageMiddlesex High’s Jeromy Rich was the meet’s MVP, but the Chargers came up 17 points short and finished second to Mathews in the Tidewater District Championship meet on May 19. The Blue Devils scored 165 points and Middlesex had 148.
