Second Level Concealed Carry Course planned
Many concealed carry permit holders in the area have asked for more advanced self-defense training. The Middlesex Sportsmen’s Hunt Club (MSHC) will offer a Second Level Concealed Carry Course on Saturday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSHC Range in Hartfield. Registration is required and the fee is $50.

Deltas rally past Tides twice; to host Cardinals in doubleheader Saturday
imageOffense was not an issue for the Deltaville Deltas last weekend, who twice came from behind to defeat the Tappahannock Tides, 14-8 and 9-3. The Deltas have a 3-game series this weekend with the 3rd place Peninsula Cardinals.


Major Leaguers put up strong fight before losing in District 15 Tournament
imageThe Middlesex Majors All-Star team was eliminated from the District 15 Tournament with losses to Spotsylvania and King George last week in Richmond County. On Friday, Middlesex trailed by only 3-2 margin until a fifth inning Spotsylvania rally eventually led to a 11-3 win.


Bam Bam & Pebbles T-Ball registration announced
The Middlesex Parks and Recreation Department will hold registration for Bam Bam and Pebbles T-Ball on the following dates and times: Monday, July 18, and Thursday, July 21, 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, July 23, 10 a.m.-noon; Wednesday, July 27, and Monday, August 1, 6-8 p.m.; and Saturday, August 6, 10 a.m.-noon.
