Blake sets ‘kills’ record at MHS
imageOne bright spot in the Mathews match is that Chelsi Blake broke the only known Middlesex High record for career “kills” (unreturned spikes that result in a point). The record had been 505, and Blake exceeded that mark Tuesday night. And, she still has four more matches to play this season.

Seahawks defeat Ospreys
imageThe St. Clare Walker Seahawks soccer team remained undefeated last week with a 4-1 win at Chesapeake Academy on October 6. “This game was a great game for both teams,” said Seahawk coach Eric Smith. “At any minute the game could of gone either way.”


MHS hosts Surry in homecoming Friday
The Middlesex High School football team lost 48-21 to Tidewater District rival West Point last Friday. The Chargers will host Surry in their annual homecoming game at 7 p.m. this Friday, October 14, at MHS in Saluda.


Harrow, Moore lead Lady Chargers
The Middlesex High School girls cross-country team won a quad-meet on October 5 at Rappahannock Community College-Glenns. The Lady Chargers scored 47 points to defeat Washington & Lee, (57 points) West Point (59) and Essex (98).
