Middlesex High boys track team tied for 8th place
imageThe Chargers captured two first places. Scott Payne won the shot put (45’10”) and Jeromy Rich won the 110-meter high hurdles (16.23). Payne also finished third in the discus (120’10”) and Rich took sixth in the triple jump (39’). Bryan Engle of MHS finished fourth in the shot put (44’3”) and the 400-meter relay team of Rich, Malcolm Holmes, Marcus Hammond and Willie Holmes placed sixth.

Seven Chargers make first team All-District
imageFor Middlesex, Brandon Putney was voted the district MVP and made the first team as a utility player; Harley Moore and Kevin Walsh made the first team as pitchers; Chuckie Morris, catcher; Alexander Crittenden, second base; Mason Goodrich, third base; and Keith Whitley, outfield.


Chargers battle Indians in Region A semifinals Wed.
Middlesex will host Northumberland on Wednesday, June 2, at 5 p.m. at Deltaville Ballpark and is expected to face Indians pitching ace Kyle Hall, who has signed with Longwood College, said Charger head coach Tim Blake.


MHS doubles team loses in semifinals
Amanda Blake and Stephanie Hutton of Middlesex High School lost in the semifinals of Region A doubles tennis tournament in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 1-6) to Kayla Upadhyaya and Shelby Floyd of the Appomattox Regional Governor's School (ARGS) on May 26 at the Howard Mast Tennis Complex in Suffolk.
