Lady Raiders one-hit MHS girls
The Middlesex Lady Chargers softball season came to an end on May 31 when they suffered a 7-0 loss to Rappahannock in the Region A Division 1 tournament. Rappahannock, the Northern Neck regular-season champion, finished second in the regional tournament to Essex.

Chewning, Bristow, Dozier Ceballos earn district honors
The Chargers finished 4-4 in the district and 7-9 overall. Their postseason play ended at Mathews in the semifinals of the Tidewater District Tournament.


Sand soccer specialists
imageThe TSUNAMI Sand Soccer Team, comprised of and coached by local soccer athletes, participated in the 5th annual Sand Soccer Shootout & Benefit at Buckroe Beach on June 2-3.


Ellis is Region A 3,200 meters champ
imageThe Middlesex High School boys track team had three athletes qualify on May 24 for the State Group A Track Championships. Ridge Ellis was the top performer for the Chargers, winning the 3,200 meters (11:02.56) and finished second in the 1,600 meters (5:01.95).
