MHS girls split first two matches
imageMiddlesex High varsity volleyball split a pair of non-district matches, defeating Essex and losing to W&L. Middlesex host's Lancaster on Tuesday, September 4, and is at W&L on Thursday, September 6. The Lady Chargers travel to Essex on Tuesday, September 11. JV matches are at 6 p.m. and are followed by varsity matches at 7:30 p.m.

MHS opens season at Mathews Friday
The Middlesex High School varsity football team will begin its regular season at 7 p.m. Friday, August 31, at Mathews. Charger head coach Josh Franke said, “After the two scrimmages, I feel cautiously optimistic about Friday night. We are beginning to come together as a team and the support from the community is starting to pick up."


Champion Seahorses host Covenant Friday
CCS lost a load of standout players off last season’s undefeated state championship team, but still return several key performers. The Seahorses open their season this Friday at home against Covenant School at 5 p.m. on Dischinger Field. Admission is free.


‘She wants to be a football player and she’s doing it’
imageDanielle Hill is Lyndsey’s mother. When Lyndsey was asked if her mother encouraged her to play football, she responded, “No!” When asked about the toughness of the game, Lyndsey said, “I don’t see it as being real tough. I can play with those boys.”
