Seahorses down Lancaster for Stone Tournament title
imageBolstered by a strong second quarter run, Christchurch School was able to subdue Lancaster High School 60-49 in the championship game of the 22nd annual John Stone Memorial Tournament last weekend at CCS. It was Christchurch’s first championship in the Stone Tournament since 2006.

MHS wrestlers impressive; forfeits cause 42-30 loss
imageNot having a wrestler in four weight classes doomed the Middlesex High School varsity wrestling team in a 42-30 loss to King William on December 7 at MHS. The Chargers won six of eight individual matches in the meet, but gave up 24 points on the four individual forfeits.


MHS loses to Essex; to host Raiders Friday
imageAfter a sluggish first quarter, Essex went on a 15-1 run to open the second quarter en route to a 56-34 varsity basketball win over Middlesex Tuesday night at MHS in Saluda.


MHS JV girls up mark to 3-0
The undefeated Middlesex JV girls basketball team rallied for a 21-18 win at Essex on Tuesday. Middlesex (3-0) trailed most of the game until late in the fourth quarter. “The girls realized it was time for them to go to work,” said MHS coach Mike Lewis. “We didn’t play well but I was happy to get the win.”
