MHS student-athletes take skills to the college level
National Signing Week is more than just an event that occurs every year—it is a victorious leap of persistence accompanied by a clear future, a few touching photos, the shake of a hand and, sometimes, tears of joy. It is a contract bound by long years of hard work paid off and the will to make the most of generous scholarships.

Colonial Beach edges Chargers in overtime
imageColonial Beach scored the last 10 points of the game to grab a 67-62 overtime win over Middlesex in a boys varsity basketball clash Monday night at MHS in Saluda. It was a game of momentum shifts. The Chargers of first-year head coach Chris Walker led 24-17 at the half, but were outscored 23-8 in the third quarter to fall behind 40-32.


MHS girls play NHS in home opener Friday
The Middlesex High School girls varsity basketball team suffered a 69-47 defeat in its season opener at Colonial Beach on Monday. “This was a game of experience versus youth, and the experience won,” said MHS head coach Neil Wake.


Youth basketball league draft is Saturday at MHS
The Middlesex Youth Basketball League (MYBL) will hold player drafts for the following divisions in the Middlesex High School gym this Saturday, December 1. Click through to see times. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled draft.
