MHS girls host Cavs tonight
The Middlesex High varsity volleyball team lost to Mathews and defeated West Point in recent Tidewater District action. Mathews defeated visiting Middlesex on October 9 in three games, 25-9, 25-13 and 25-10. “Although our scores don’t reflect it, the girls actually played stronger and more consistent than they have been,” said Middlesex coach Jennifer Harrow.

JV Chargers host K&Q Monday
imageThe Middlesex High junior varsity football team lost 26-6 to Surry on October 11, and lost 38-14 to King William 38-14 on October 15. Against Surry, D’Angelo King scored the Chargers’ only touchdown.


Surry rallies past MHS
“The first half went real well,” said MHS coach Josh Franke. “We had a scoring opportunity right at the end of the half on their one yard line and couldn’t punch it in. Then we fumbled right at the beginning of the second quarter and then penalties and mistakes killed us in the second half,” Coach Franke said.


CCS Seahorses are state sailing champs
imageThe Christchurch Sailing Team won the Virginia Interscholastic Sailing Association State Fleet-Racing Championship last Saturday in Norfolk to finish the season undefeated! The team now qualifies to compete at the Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association Fleet-Racing Championship in Rochester, NY this weekend.
