Lady Cavs end MHS softball season
The Middlesex High varsity softball season ended on Tuesday when King William scored 4 runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 6-3 victory in the semifinals of the Tidewater District Tournament at MHS in Saluda.

The games started with the Bayport Scout Reservation Waves competing against the Chesapeake Custom Home Yellow Bellies. The Waves pulled off the win 2-0 with goals from Kathy Ruark and Jim Beam. The Yellow Bellies were led by the great defense of Shawn Parsley and the field play of Michael Pullman.

Middlesex High’s Amanda Blake and Stephanie Hutton claimed the Tidewater District tennis doubles championship last week. The Blake-Hutton duo are 8-2 overall and 4-0 in district play and have advanced to the Region A doubles tournament, which will be held on Wednesday, May 26, at the Howard Mast Tennis Center in Suffolk.
