Lady Chargers host Indians Friday night
The Lancaster Lady Red Devils sent the visiting Lady Chargers season record to 0-4 after handing them a 68-22 defeat on December 5. The young Lady Chargers wilted under the constant defensive pressure of Lancaster, said MHS head coach Neil Wake.

Lockley scores 44 in MHS loss to Drifters
imageThe Middlesex High varsity basketball team fell behind early and lost 69-61 last Friday at Colonial Beach. The Chargers trailed 15-9 after the first quarter and then played the Drifters on even terms the rest of the game. “We did a good job to climb back into the game,” said MHS coach Chris Walker. “We just could not take the lead from them.”


Walter Banfield to row at Dartmouth
imageChristchurch School senior Walter Banfield, son of Doug and Nancy Banfield of Wake, has been accepted to Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., where he will row for the Dartmouth Lightweight Crew Team. Banfield is an accomplished rower, who has earned a number of accolades and distinctions.


Lady Chargers host Drifters Friday night
imageThe Middlesex Lady Chargers varsity girls basketball team suffered a 42-26 defeat on Friday to visiting Northumberland, and lost 48-38 to visiting Essex on Monday. On Friday, Northumberland jumped to an early lead and never looked back.
