NHS ousts Lady Chargers from Tournament
The Middlesex High varsity volleyball team was eliminated in the first round of the Region A Tournament on Monday with a straight three-game loss to Northumberland, the Northern Neck District champions. The scores were 25-20, 25-12 and 25-21.

Middlesex girls coast to cross-country title
The Middlesex High girls cross-country team made school history this week by winning the Tidewater District meet by sweeping the first five places. The meet was run at the Eastern State Hospital course in Williamsburg.

MHS girls win tourney opener
The Middlesex High varsity volleyball team, which finished third in the regular season of the Tidewater District, defeated King and Queen Monday in the first round of the district tournament in Saluda.

Kevin Walsh is All-District runner
Kevin Walsh was the top runner for the Chargers. He finished seventh overall with a time of 18:47. This was the first time K. Walsh has broken 19 minutes in a 3.2-mile race. During the award ceremonies, K. Walsh was named to the 2008 Tidewater All-District Team.
