MHS wrestlers begin postseason tourneys
The Middlesex High School Chargers wrestling team finished fourth as a team Saturday in the Nottoway High School Southside Scuffle tourney in Petersburg by scoring 121.5 points in the competition.

JV Lady Chargers lose three games
imageThe Middlesex JV Lady Charger basketball team recently closed out its regular district season with three losses. Middlesex fell 45-22 to King William on January 16. JV Lady Chargers’ scoring was led by Aniyah Thompson with 10 points, Allison Blake 5 points, Ruth Anne Key 4 points, Stacy Luckett 2 points, and Makayla Oliver 1 point.


Lady Chargers win three straight; visit Devils Friday
imageThe Middlesex High varsity Lady Chargers snapped their 4-game losing streak with a 49-41 win over the Lady Cavaliers at King William on January 16. They went on to defeat visiting West Point 50-45 on January 22 and King and Queen 49-28 on January 23.


All-State Seahorses
imageThe Seahorses, which finished the regular season ranked number 4 in the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA) Division II rankings, beat top-ranked Blue Ridge School in the semifinals and then went on to win 43-27 over Norfolk Christian for the state championship.
