MHS JVs win two straight
The Middlesex JV boys basketball team lost 40-36 to Essex on Dec. 16, defeated Rappahannock 50-34 on Dec. 18, and won 51-33 at home against Colonial Beach Tuesday night.

Burnett’s 1,000th point; Lady Chargers 6-2
The Middlesex girls basketball team improved to 6-2 with easy wins over Essex and Rappahannock last week. Middlesex forward Ashae Burnett scored the 1,000th point of her career as the Lady Chargers tromped visiting Essex 89-35 on Dec. 17.

MHS wrestlers finish 2nd in six-team tourney
The Middlesex High School wrestling team finished second in the Lancaster Round Robin Team Tournament last Saturday and took home the runner-up trophy—the first team wrestling trophy in school history.
