‘Fight Like A Girl’ free seminar set for March 6
imageThe Middlesex Parks & Recreation Department and Master Jerry Lemon, owner of Jerry’s Martial Arts Academy in Gloucester, are on a mission to help women and girls of the community learn to “Fight Like A Girl.”

Surry edges MHS girls
The Middlesex High Lady Chargers basketball season ended February 20 with a 34-33 loss to Surry in the quarterfinals of the Region A Tournament at MHS. The Lady Chargers took control of game early but Surry refused to quit and fought their way back in the second half.


Two former MHS stars lead RCC Gulls to win
imageThe Rappahannock Community College women’s softball team, the Gulls, opened its 2013 season on February 18 by splitting a doubleheader with Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) of Largo, Maryland, in Richmond. PGCC won the first game 4-2, and the Gulls won the second game 10-3.


MHS boys advance to regional semifinals
The Middlesex High boys basketball team upset 3rd-seeded Colonial Beach 60-54 Wednesday night in the quarterfinals of the Group A Region A Division I Tournament at Colonial Beach.
