Lady Chargers seek tournament success
The Middlesex High varsity girls basketball team fell to West Point 34-26 on Monday in Saluda. The Lady Chargers dropped to 3-4 in the Tidewater District and 9-7 overall and are in third place in the Tidewater District with one game to go in the regular season. Middlesex hosted Mathews on February 9 in its regular season finale.

MHS JVs improve to 10-4
imageThe Middlesex High JV girls basketball team defeated visiting West Point 47-36 on Monday. The win gave the JV Lady Chargers a 3-4 Tidewater District record and an overall mark of 10-4. MHS played Mathews on February 9 in their final game.


Youth wrestlers compete
imageThe Middlesex Youth Wrestling Club (MYWC) hosted its first wrestling meet on Friday, February 4, in the Middlesex High School gymnasium. Middlesex wrestlers competed with teams from York, Grafton and Gloucester.


YMCA begins signup for adult volleyball league
The Middlesex Family YMCA has opened registration for its Adult Volleyball League (18 years and older). Program director Kai Evans invites participants to “come as a full team or we will find you a space.”
